Damien Robache graduated from ESAD in Reims, where he began his artistic journey, blending the rigor and pragmatism of design with the free expression of a personal universe—combining artistic experimentation, logic games, sensitive observations, and structured applications.

He started his professional career in several prestigious studios: a stint at Philippe Starck’s iconic agency, followed by a collaboration with Matali Crasset. He then immersed himself in the inventive world of Radi Designers, later embracing Christophe Pillet’s stylistic rigor, and also collaborated with Noé Duchaufour Lawrance.

Stepping away from the world of publishing and signed designs, he went on to work with creative agencies such as Servaire&co, Blue Factory, Bronson or Seiya. There, he took on projects at a more industrial scale in the luxury sector, operating across various dimensions: from packaging to interior architecture, and from initial creative concepts to the finalization of technical development.

In parallel, he pursued more personal creations. Notably, he co-edited the Yabaco armchair with Ryann Aoukar for Niemkamper (Canada), which won the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum. The duo also collaborated with the Norwegian company Luxo. Additionally, he was awarded, alongside Eric Blondin, for eyeglass frame designs at the lunetiers du jura competition and the Opus Design Award.

His passion for plastic experimentation, material exploration, and a curiosity about how things and ideas work led him to question everyday uses. This inspired him to create the self-publishing brand Simplement.design, guided by the principles of simplicity and the poetry of the object.
